Our Joy is in Gloryfying Christ

3 Mar

Henry was happiest being a hoover...not a cricket bat.

Well thanks for taking the time to read my Sunday sermon and especially thanks to Larry for his suggested addition. In the end I ‘winged’ a grand finale about how we can only have real joy when we are doing that which we were created to do, glory God. That all the ‘good’ stuff we have is only really great when it is used to that end.

My illustration, which fell out of my cuff, was that a hoover isn’t happy being a cricket bat, it’s only really happy being a hoover. I never said it was a good illustration. Anyway, stop reading and go glorify Christ!
