Whose Story?

9 Nov

In the run up to our recent church mission we ran the Contagious Christian course. I had the priveledge of preaching the ‘sharing your story’ session and encouraged people to, amongst other things, make Jesus the hero of the story not themselves. Too often we’re tempted to talk only about how we’ve changed rather than what Christ has done (which is were the power really is).

Another danger I highlighted was our desire to make our testimonies ‘sensational’. By that I mean sensational in human terms. We forget the biggest miracle is blind people being given sight! Look at 2 Corinthians 4 to see how it’s a miracle on the scale of creation!!

Anyway, my point in saying all this is to point you to a great post on theresurgence about testimonies that give power to Satan. Well worth a read.
