Yep, it looks like Starbucks are shaking things up again. This time however they’ve decided to really much around. The new logo is essentially the old mermaid lady (aren’t all mermaids ladies?) but without the encircling text.
I was out in America 2 years ago when they reintroduced the old brown logo complete with a slightly more disturbing mermaid.
It looks like they are doing something similar to Apple by dropping the text. The only problem I see is that the mermaid is no where near as adorable as the shiny, half eaten apple.
Apparently the idea of Starbucks being just a coffee brand is too confining…so does this mean we’ll also be seeing new Starbucks merch? I quite like the sound of Starbucks Real Ale. Or how about an idea I had last night, coffee flavoured porridge? What do you reckon of the whole deal?

Coffee porridge! That is genius! I’d buy it! In fact, if France had porridge, I’d try making some tomorrow morning. Note to self for future trips home…
